Our Trip to the Pony Farm

We spent our morning in Holland at Teusink's Pony Farm. It was a blustery yet sunny morning for us to take our learning outside. The kids had tons of fun and learned much! Hands on learning is always the best! A huge thanks to all the parents who tagged along for the fun morning. Here are some pictures of our adventures.

Read-A-Thon

On Friday we wore our jammies and invited our favorite stuffed animals to join us in a day filled with READING! We read my different books, some by Dr. Seuss and some by other authors! The kids had fun listening to reading and practicing reading to their stuffed animals, teachers, and partners! It was another fun filled morning. Thank you for all the donations! It was another exciting Read-A-Thon.

Partner reading
Finishing up our Seuss Centers..this was the floor puzzle center!
A special high-light of the morning was when I turned off the lights, let all the students snuggle their stuffed animals while I read them a "bedtime story". We enjoyed The Sleep Book by Dr.Seuss. At the end of the book, everyone fell asleep for a very brief moment then I woke them up for a "breakfast treat" of donuts! They were tickled!

Here are the kiddos with their stuffed animals! So cute!

Dr. Seuss Celebration

We certainly LOVE a good book! We celebrated the first Friday in March with a variety of activities related to Dr. Seuss. We had a morning filled with The Cat in the Hat, The Wockets, and Thing One and Thing Two. Unfortunately, my camera battery died before we went to work in our "Seuss Centers". :( Here we are in our patterned headbands....good lookin' bunch, right?

We did partner work with colored goldfish after reading One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. The kids did a nice job of graphing, counting, comparing, then SNACKING on their colorful goldfish!

The fun didn't stop here...just my camera battery! Good thing I got it fully charged for Read-A-Thon!

Valetine's Day Party

Thanks to all the parents who helped make our Valtentine's Day Party extra SWEET! It was a fun morning full of LOVE. We enjoyed different stations such as Bingo, a craft, bean bag toss, and ice cream sundaes for snack! The kids enjoyed passing out their Valentine's as well.

Yum! Sundaes with sprinkles!

Lots of fun with parents!

Craft and creativity time.

Happy Valentine's Day!

100th Day of School!

We are 100 days smarter! It is hard to believe how fast the school year is flying by. We celebrated with many fun activities for the day. We counted, colored, exercised and ate! Whew the morning flew by. Here are a few pictures of our activities.

Our decorated doorway
Zero the Hero dropped by and hid die cut numbers all over our room and each child got to find 100 and glue them to their paper. Here are some pictures of them looking around for the 100s!

100!

We also made a couple different class books. They will be on display at conferences. It was a fun day!
