Conference Slips
Parents, I just wanted to give you a heads up that conference slips came home TODAY. I am so thankful for the emails I received from a few helpful parents reminding me that I somehow missed getting the slips in the Friday folders. They went home today on white paper. I would greatly appreciate those back tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest. I apologize! Thanks for the emails!

Friday Folder Heads Up
Happy Friday! Today your child is bringing home their first progress report. I hope you have a chance to curl up and take a moment to look this over with your child. It is important that you praise your child's accomplishments. Equally important is to review areas where your child needs to grow. It is important that you and I work as a team to help your child become successful in all areas! If you have any questions feel free to send me an email or call. I appreciate your continued support! Have a great weekend!

Rhyming Resources
Next week we will begin focusing on the skill of rhyming. Below you will find links to engaging sites to stimulate your child's ear for rhyme. Any practice they can do would be helpful.

Apple Explorations
We had a busy week learning all about apples! The kids were engaged and interactive in each learning activity. We read some non-fiction books to help us gain new understanding about apples. We learned an apple poem and put our cutting and creativity skills to work when we illustrated the poem. We stretched our investigative and math skills while predicting, comparing, measuring, and weighing the apples the kids brought to school. We really got into the learning when we did our taste testing, too! Here are some pictures of all our hard work.
