On Friday we celebrated Constitution Day by making a flag art project! The students did a great job following directions to assemble these beautiful flags!
This week we learned about the letter Mm. We made
M's with pipe cleaners, used
markers to complete our work,
marched and even
munched on
M&

Munching M&Ms while working on our Mm Books.
We met Ms. Hart, our librarian on Friday. She ready us a silly story about a goldfish! :) The kids each checked out a book to bring home.
Please return the books on Wednesday in their backpacks as we will check out new books on our regularly scheduled library day!
The kids are hard at work learning our classroom routines and procedures. This week we will be working on the letter Ss. See if your child can tell you the Zoo Phonics friend that goes with Ss...(hint it is Sammy Snake). Here is the signal poster to go with our Zoo Phonics. Zoo Phonics helps students associate the letter and it's sound. Each letter has an animal for example this week we learned that Missy Mouse says, "Mmm" and Sammy Snake will say, "Sss". See if your child can show you and of the animals/sounds.
